That's the proxy bidding setup eBay uses. Let's say you bid for an item and become the high bidder, then afterwards decide you're willing to pay more you can bid again with the higher amount. The price doesn't actually change, but if someone else bids and bumps you up your max amount will be higher.

wow....the sad thing is people pay it I sold a bachmann siesta motel I painted light blue and glued gray balast on the roof and made $45 what are people thinking?(It looked like crap btw)
 
Rico, that one is truly bizzare. I had no idea that the original MicroTrains woodside cabooses with the pizza cutter flanges have now become collector's items. I'm going to start going to train shows and scooping them all up so I can resell them for $200 on e-bay.
