Here's the model, prior to removing the lettering. Actually, this is a duplicate of the model that's being weathered... The lettering was removed using a chisel blade and 1000 grit sandpaper. The idea was to preserve the dimensional data, which as it turned out, didn't really show through the paint as well as I expected.
