Well, my day has gone well, kind of

Fitted the new Express point, a slight issue with it was that the nub for the tie bar was missing on one side, so I've moved the point motor, but all wired up and working I'm pleased to say.

Found an issue with another point, which, now I have a spare, I can replace, it's an old one which I knew I would have to replace at some point in time.

Found a couple of issues with my dwarf signals, two weren't working for some reason, found that's it's really helpful if you wire it to its chocolate block (Duh!) second one was wired up but got nothing, when tested it worked fine, so obviously a fault on the circuit somewhere, found the cause in the end tho'

My long-awaited Loco from the US arrived today.

I did a size comparison between the SD70 and my OO scale class 37, the SD70 is about 1/2" longer, the same height, but the class 37 is heavier.

By request, a few more of the SD70.

Very interesting. But... American diesel is H0 scale and British diesel is 00 gauge. Not exactly the same scale...

That's the point, despite the scale difference it's hard to tell, you could easily put OO scale wagons behind your locos and few could tell.

Yeah I have those as well!
Best thing is walk away and come back with a fresh mind and a “new view”. Quite often you’ll see things differently and maybe with better ideas.
