The Hare decoder is a plug and play decoder designed specifically for the Circuitron Hare Decoder. In its simplest form, plug on to the tortoise, connect two wires to the DCC bus or track and use. This product includes internal LED drivers, terminal board for screw on connections to any wiring desired. Includes access to the internal position switches of the Hare. Multiple routing, from the simple to complex.

 Price, although I got my Hare decoders used at half price. They list for about $25 each. However, the new Wrabbit is a dual hare decoder that drives two Torti giving cost per decoder of ~$15. This compares to about $8 per Torti on decoders from Lenz and other suppliers. However when one compares the additional feature costs included with the Hare, the cost is about even.
 Multiple routes, meaning that you can program different addresses to cause the Hare to switch differently.
Plug and Play installation, plug onto the Tortoise, connect two wires to the DCC track or buss, program and you are done. This can be done in less than 10 minutes per turnout after one masters the simple programming sequence. Many other decoders require more complicated wiring.
Built in LED turnout position indicators by simply connecting the LED to the Hare, no need to even add a dropping resistor. Handles Bipolar LEDs too!
