Pros: Free rolling, awesome paint
Cons: RTR kit? High price, low value

Bachmann seems like they're looking for a way to make more money off of low value items. This silver series car looks great on the rails and in the box, and even up close...

The paint comes VERY crisp, the white lettering over the black body in my "kit" is very good, no black bleeding through. It came with installed Bachmann EZ-mate couplers, which work fine, but are plastic, so they break easier. The trucks have metal wheels on plastic axles which I like, and they rolled freely.

The downside is, it seems like they tried to offer an RTR kit. The car comes with trucks & couplers installed, but the weights have to be installed by the buyer! The plastic weight covers press fit, but I still glued the weights in. The 4 angle ribs were the hardest to install, but worth the effort, as it completes the car.

In the end, this car is awesome, but in my mind, its not really worth the $16.99 I paid, or even the $18 MSRP. Maybe $12.
