Pros: Genesis Quality, well detailed, nice paint, pre-weathered
Cons: pre-weathered wheel tread

I decided that some spare cash made room for some new rolling stock. I found and picked up this car, because its one of the Pre-weathered offerings from Athearn Genesis.

The car quality is in the range of all other Genesis cars, but for what ever reason Athearn chose to leave out the train air line that came installed on my Genesis 50' PC&F car has. ( http://www.modelrailroadforums.com/r...duct=5&cat=500 )

The weathering job is fairly simple really, its Dull Coted and then has a light dusting to the bottom. Fairly simple, something you can do yourself with a $20 airbrush really.

HOWEVER of note, the WORST thing I noticed is that they painted right over the trucks, including the tread of the wheels. This means to have optimum performance you'll have to clean the tread.

Overall I recommend at least one or two, just to have some variance.
