Pros: Very sharp paint, installed handrails
Cons: Cheaper motor

For being as cheap as they were for me, my two Walther's Trainline Dash 4-40BW's run well.

I purchased two Amtrak Phase IV units, technically they're P32-8BHW's, but the Walther's box says Dash 8-40BW.

They came with installed handrails, and Bachmann Ez-Mate couplers.

In comparison to the Atlas version, they're VERY lacking in detail, but still worth the price I paid.

I wish Walther's would re-do these units with better drives, I'd be up to buy more (maybe a BNSF Dash 8-40B!?).

Pros: Great pulling power, directional headlights, flywhels
Cons: Horn hook couplers, no constant voltage lighting, no metal handrails

Needed a more powerful engine for my grades (4% plus) and picked this unit up. It serves well as my yard switcher as well as it's over the road duties. I think I could pull stumps with this engine. Negotiates 15 degree curves with no problem at all and on a grade. Unit feels solid and the paint is well applied. The plastic handrails need to go and I'd like to update the lighting, but all in all a good solid locomotive. I would suggest using McHenry couplers as my Kadee #5's needed modification.
