If you're looking for cheap tank cars, and you'd rather not touch a kit, then these Walther's RTR 33,000 gallon LPG cars are the way to go.
The car rolls well, comes with Bachmann EZ-Mate couplers, with plastic wheels on metal axles.
The car is basicaly a kit car thats built, the only differences between my kit versions and this one is the couplers, the kits had X2F's, and the handrails are painted, where as the kits were plain metal.
The Gold line versions will have metal wheels on plastic axles, which I prefer, but heck, $12 or $25?
In all, if you're looking, grab one of these cars it you find it.
