Description: Like super glue, CA (Cyanoacrylate), it has an almost instant setting time (10-25 Sec with the Maxi-cure). CA does not fog the plastic over as normal super glues will, if used in moderation.

Pros: strong, thick, good setting time
Cons: gluing the cap on, gluing the tip closed!

One of the better adhesives I've ever used is CA. I get mine from BSI Adhesives, from my one of my LHS's. I usually stick to 1oz bottles as they last me long enough. Maxi-cure is a 10-25 second CA, though I usually only have to hold for about 10 seconds.

My "pet peeve" with CA is getting the tip to stay clear, and keeping the cap from getting glued on. I've use the 5-10 second CA and I lost half a bottle when the cap and tip were glued on.

BSI has additional tips & caps you can buy, but getting the tip off is tough sometimes. I find it annoying to have to get a new tip from time to time for a bottle, but the trade off is the ease of use. It does not bond the plastic like MEK, or Testors cement to, but rather glues it...

If you've never used CA, I suggest you try it!
