Pros: Scale width hood, interchangeable Dynamic Brake sections
Cons: Unpowered, Not detailed like a P2K

Trains Unlimited produced this GP9 (And a GP7), it comes with a scale width hood, interchangeable Dynamic Brake sections, side frames, and a chassis. comes with handrails, and some detail parts, like a short fuel tank section, air tank ends, and roof top air tanks. Some cases you will not get the chassis.

The same bodies are also available from Front range, and can still be found for $28 from A-Line:

Chassis are also available there:

These are the 2nd best GP7's I know of on the market, in plastic, following closely behind the Proto 2000 models. Obviously the P2K comes powered and has grab irons, where this unit does not. As stated before you can get them with a chassis if you get the Trains Unlimited version, as I did with both of mine.

The details are sharp, the plastic is well molded. Neither of my units had any imperfections. The cabs are easily removed, if you're looking to do surgery on the unit (as I did with one, its becoming a B unit). The DB sections are very easy to interchange, both of mine are running non.

I have not tested out the handrails, but I intend to use an offering from Smokey Valley.

Over all, these are GREAT for their value, must better then the wide body's from Athearn!
