Description: This is Athearn's classic 54' PS Covered Hopper, in a five pack.
As with all Ready to Roll kits, it has metal wheels and knuckle style couplers.
The details are all molded on and heavy. So this car doesn't look that great, but is very sturdy. A good trade for club layouts or rough handling.
Athearn has released several five packs in different road names. They include five different car numbers and variations on the paint scheme.

Pros: 5 different numbers and paint schemes
Cons: out dated tooling

Athearn's 54' PS Hopper is a sturdy model that can take some abuse, but I would perfer finer detail and etched metal walkways.
The five different car numbers and paint schemes are why I bought this set. I'm hoping for a CSX patch job set next.
