Description: The Ready to Roll version of Athearn's 250 Ton crane is an almost complete update to this model. The crane and its operability are greatly improved, but the detail in the car and tender is the same old molded on stuff.
The crane now has metal pullys and hooks for better operation. It also comes with a nice tool for raising and lowering the boom. Two small holes in the sides of the crane allow for operation.
The car and tender have the same molded on detail as always, but the crisp printing of the grab irons almost makes up for it. The rest of the printing is also top notch.
The model comes with metal wheels and knuckle style couplers, as do all RTR kits.

Pros: Good operation, excellent printing
Cons: Molded on grab irons

This is another great kit from the Ready to Roll line.

Pros: Awesome stuff to have on a old 80's railroad
Cons: It has plastic garb irons/hand bars

I would like to have product like this, but it does have plastic stuff instead of the Kato Metal kind of stuff.
