Description:
|
The Atlas Wide Vision Caboose has been on the market for a while now, but is continuously released in new paint schemes. This is one of the Chessie System Safety paint schemes that have been released.
This is an out standing model. The detail is excellent with see thru walkways and seperate grab irons. This caboose is available with or with out roof walks to facilitate most diesel era modellers.
The printing on this kit is also excellent. Even the smallest printing is readable. There are tons of road names available.
The kit comes with metal wheels but still uses the junky Accumate couplers. But that is easy to fix.

An excellent Caboose.
Please note that the Chessie Safety paint schemes cost extra. I paid $20 CND for my undecorated ones.

couplers, price, not so true to the prototype

I bought one of these on eBay. It cost me about $25 (which is more than MSRP) but it was worth it. Why? I bought the Norfolk Southern Research Caboose NS #49. That paint scheme has long been sold out. The prototype has the small windows on each side plated over, but the model has an actual window since it's a generic model. For the price of $22 (MSRP) it should be accurate! But, it's close enough, and that's good enough for this particular model.
