MiTrains is a comprehensive inventory program to record all your railroad stuff. Each item must be allocated to a category. You can create as many categories as you like. Click on a category and all items within it are shown in the grid below. This list can be sorted on any 3 of the 44 data files. Click on an item and the details are shown in the Detail Area on the right. You can Show/Hide each data field and change the field title all by category. Six data fields are for your special needs. A picture can be attached to each item.
There are 25 Reference Tables that are attached to some of the fields. Click on an entry and it is inserted onto the record instead of typing. You can add/delete any entry.
MiTrains can produce car cards (with or without pictures) for the Car Card/Waybill operating method. You can also create custom reports.
MiTrains comes with a data base of all N scale Micro-Trains cars and a second one for HO Accurail cars.
If you already have your engines and cars in a speadsheet like Excel, you can re-arrange the colunms to suit MiTrains and import the data directly into MiTrains. No need to retype everything.
The Waybills program creates and prints the 1 to 4 cycle waybills that fit into the car card. You need to add your "home" (the ones actually on your layout) industries. There are some 40,000 US and Canada protype (or Off Line) industries included. The waybills title line can be an industrial location or town name to help operators to route the cars to their destination. The title line can be colored by destination as shown in the sample picture. Once a waybill is printed it is flag so it will not print again. So, it you add or change a waybill, only those will print. (You can always override the flag.)
Once you add your home industries, nearly all filling out of a waybill is done by mouse clicks.
Both programs can be downloaded for a free 30 day unrestricted trial period. Both programs come with Tutorials that step you through the basic functions. All upgrades are free.
