Pros:

Great value, Great detail, Prefect paint
|
|
Cons:

Sounds mechanical/computerized
|
|
I'm not as impressed with this Blueline offering as I was with the AC6000.
Cons:
- The sound is to fake sounding, and the start up sound sounds exactly like that of the AC6000!
- Not enough bass, too much treble.
- Very jerky moving forward, almost perfect in reverse.
- Not very well synchronized sounds.
Pros:
- Very low price for sound, and it DC compatible.
- Paint & details are amazing!
- Very good puller, if it were not for the jerking action.
I think this unit needs a longer break in period. The jerking was only prevalent moving forward. When I switch it to DCC, I think I'll be replacing the whole sound system. It sounds too computerized, and only has 2 or 3 levels of chuffing, that I've heard.

My only real complaint is the whistle Dosnt have the same level of controll that the BLI 2-8-2 has but volume is great its one of the loudest engines I have. I cant remember exactly what I payed for it but I know it wasnt to bad compaired to other steam engines that I have.

outstanding detail, great sound,

Cons:

whistle sound a bit too generic

On receiving my A.T.S.F 4-8-4 I was highly Impressed with it's detail. On installing a DZ125PS decoder was pleased to see her start smoothly at speed step 2 with a very sharp exhaust bark the sound only got more impressive as the throttle was increased.
I have to rate the BLI's proprietary Sound in this locomotive as better than the QSI in my only other BLI example the A.T.S.F 2-10-2 No.3877.
If it has a weak spot I'd say the whistle could sound better but that's small potato's overall
A strong puller, great detail and great sound for a ultra low price.
gets a solid 9 out of ten from me.
