It’s been 60 years since Irv Athearn incorporated his business and began his journey to create one of the hobby’s best known lines of model trains. To celebrate, we’ve created three commemorative HO models. Two are fictitious, but fun, while the box car reproduces the real anniversary car created with the help of the Wisconsin Southern railroad. In general service, this box car will be seen across America. Be on the lookout for it!

Well done Athearn, looks just like the prototype!
My car came well painted, well weighted, and free rolling. Impressive Athearn offering, and good Quality Control. Just wish I could get more of the WSOR cars to go with it.
