Description: The Best Way to Cut Photo-Etched Parts
This precision Photo-Etch Shear cuts through tiny photo-etched parts cleanly and accurately with a scissor-like shearing action. Produces a neat, square edge without distorting adjacent parts. It's also ideal for cutting micro size parts from sheet brass. Made of hardened steel with cushion grip handles and spring return. An innovative design that makes a difficult job easier. Overall length approx. 5 inches.

Pros: works well, smooth easy cuts
Cons: still not safety latch, wide head, hard to use in tight places

Another great shear from Xuron. I got this one because the scissors were just not cutting it anymore (no pun intended there). I'm currently using them (at the time of writing this article) on some Plano parts, and I'm able to cut the parts out w/o damage.

However, if you're cutting parts that are close togeather, you might want to be careful, the head is quite wide, so it does not fit between parts that have been etched really close to each other.
