Pros: Superbly molded, minimal flash, easy to assemble
Cons: "flat" kit, might give some people troubles, lacks details

I recently bought a kit version of this car, and I have to say...

A-line did a superb job in molding this car's parts. Its a "flat" kit, which means you have separate side & end parts that you have to square up during assembly. I found out quite fast, on an ERM beer car, that they can be challenging to build, and keep square. However, A-line did a great job.

Assembly went well, A-line suggests placing the completed frame sub-assembly upside down, to make sure its perfectly level (all 4 wings sit flat), I found that when the glue is fresh, just place it bottom side down on the work surface and it squares right up while hardening. I had no troubles getting it square.

I wish A-line would have included the detail kit with the basic kit, however, I still managed to pick up the detail pack, for an additional $5. You can opt to do the details on your own, as the detail pack is mostly simple parts. Decals are not included either, though A-line sells a number of them. I plan to use Microscale decals, however the A-line ones are printed by Microscale.

I'm going to add Plano etched walkways also, since I'm already adding the detail pack. This will add an additional $10 if bought direct from Plano, and the drilling template is purchased.

Very good investment, fun and easy to build, though it lacks details.
