Description: In the 1880s, two-story wooden company houses like this began popping up all around North America, and many of them are still around today. Out-of-the-way businesses such as mining companies and lumber mills, and sometimes even factories in the industrial districts, often built structure like these to house the workers in their employment. Because these businesses had such a large number of workers, numerous company houses were often needed. Perfect for detailing any layout, these structures will give your HO Scale workers a lovely place to live.

Available in a single house, or a 3 pack.

Pros: Well molded, little flash, simple to build
Cons: no notches, all butt joints

Superb kit, much better molding then the diner kit I previously reviewed. All corners were relatively square and wall are much thinner then that of the diner. City Classics uses butt joints, though they include a large amount of square styrene stock to re-enforce the corners. I used a small carpenters square to keep the building square.

Parts are two color molded, white, or gray. I'll be re-painting my houses to an antique white, and re-doing the roofs in a shingle paper.

Each house comes with its own outhouse, lean-to addition & deck, though you can choose options as you build. If you leave something off, there's no holes to be filled.
