Description:
|
This unique Single edge razor blade holder exposes only ¼ of the end of the blade. No more finger cramps from holding the blade by itself. If you cut styrene for your scratch building with an exacto blade, box cutter, or utility knife, you will wind up with a ridge on the cut edge. Using a single edge razor blade eliminates this ridge, due to the thinner blade, and a more acute angle to the cutting surface. An added bonus is that it will hold its edge longer than an exacto blade. Also, no ridge means that sanding can be eliminated. The problem is that there is no hand tool for holding these blades. If you don’t want to invest in a “chopper” (which also uses a single edge blade) then this new Single Edge Razor Blade Holder will save you some money. The handle is lightweight plastic with included screw, nut, and removable blade guard. The handle also has a rubberized grip. One single edge razor blade and installation instructions, with photos, are included.

Another VERY excellent Gary S. product. Along with his previous offerings, this is a "must have" in my book.
The single edge razor blade holder allows you to use razor blades with having to hold the tiny blade in you hand. It exposes only 1/4" of the blade. These blades are ideal for cutting styrene or wood, as it'll make a more square cut.
Everything comes packed nicely as with all of his products, in a custom cut piece of expanded foam.
Instructions are illustrated and written, with the illustrations in color. However, I noticed that there was no mention of the small rubber cube, used to cover the blade when not in use.
The holder even comes with a full replacement guarantee, that if you break it in normal use, he'll replace it for free.
