Pros: Ready to roll, crisp paint & lettering
Cons: Slightly more expencive then the Blue Box kits

I compairison to the Genesis PC&F car, they did good with the RTR line. The piant and lettering is just as crisp, all words being readable.

The car comes with the standard Athearn trucks, with plastic wheels & axles. Brake detail is molded on the underframe, not separate as in the Genesis line. The grab irons & brake platforms are also molded on.

The box car's doors are supposed to be openable, but upon trying to open them, I realized the paint has kind of sealed it shut, I'm sure with a little more force it would come undone, and open, but I do not want to damage it (quite yet...)

Also if note, this RTR car still uses the old style metal clip to hold the coupler in the box.

In all, I think the RTR line is nice, making it a shorter box-rail time for modelers, unless you're picky like me, I'll be replacing the wheels/axles with Kadee or Proto 2000, and the McHenry couplers with Sergent Engineering EC87's.
