Pros: Genesis Quality, Installed Handrails & painted plus installed details
Cons: Same old SD70 plow...

I'm going to have to give this a 9. I love the Genesis SD70M's, partially because they're the only ones I can afford.

I got this unit free, as is a Birthday gift.

Pros: This unit is from the newer run of Genesis SD70M's, with the pre-installed details & handrails, and comes DCC ready. They've got the same quality motor & drive train, and run smooth through my test track's 22" radius turns. Ditch lights come pre-lighted, and wired to the forward headlights. All likes work properly. All lettering and paint is crisp (see cons below for one issue). The air horn seems to be metal, where my early run SD75M's are plastic.

Cons: Same old generic Genesis SD70M plow, needed to be removed. Also, you'd think for the premium price, they'd add the air line, coupler levers and MU hoses. Pilot detail lacks on these units. I sure hope the newer Genesis units have them (SD45-2, MP15AC, SD60M).

My unit had some minor scuffs on the corners, and I touched it up with Floquil UP Harbor Mist gray, which comes in a shade lighter then Athearn's.

I ditched the McHenry couplers almost immediately, in favor of Sergent EC87's but if you're not using them, a nice Kadee #58 would look much better. I've also since re-detailed it with a Details West, UP SD70M detail pack.
