Default Good steam video.

Found this on Youtube, pretty interesting, with tons of black smoke.

Video wouldn't run as it is on Youtube Mobile, However replacing the m.youtube with www.youtube and the rest works fine. Link below:

Another is "Pillars of Smoke in the Sky". N&W 1957. Getting coal over Blue Ridge. Best N&W video I've seen. Real sound, not from LP's or other sources.

Nice video of some serious steam power plus nice scenery as well, thanks. I am too young to remember any regular use of steam power but I did get in on a lot of EMD's first generation locos. Those are my favorites. I record all of the train videos on the RFD channel on Dish Network. Some good videos can be had on there.

Default Video(s)

Perhaps you should have titled this subject thread in the plural?

Here is one I just found, "Steam Trains, Fall Colors, Mountain Grades", Western Maryland RR
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-oApMpzPM9w

I found this after first viewing this same gentleman's VERY scenic video combining real live trains with his layout views, His scenery on the layout is fantastic, but the sound on his model train leaves a lot to be desired. B&O 2-8-8-0
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9f3TD5yw9Aw

Here is another by this gentleman. N&W Y6a
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oieuRMr9hjE

The C&O Allegheny (what an engine, what a layout, but sound leaves a lot to desire)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jgS8KMoKi6I

WOW

Just saw this thread, and the video Bob mentioned was removed due to "numerous third party complaints of copyright infringement".

Sooo, if it isn't your own video, don't post it!

I'm not sure I understand what you are saying here?

People post their videos on youtube to be viewed by the general public....correct? Making reference to a youtube presentation certainly should not be a copyright infringement?

On the other hand no one should utilize someone's video presentation in a 'commercial' for profit manner without first obtaining rights to do so....correct??

More than that. Unless you are discussing that video, and using just small clips without permission...perhaps OK, but longer clips and no credit can get you a C&D order.

The one video listed above showing a "Y6a" the BLI Y6b has a Worthington BL style feedwater heater on the side of the engine AND the Worthington SA still on the top front of the boiler, ahead of the stack.
