Default hello from Atlanta

Hey guys...Just getting into the hobby. Retired doc - Building a midsize HO scale layout.

I am using a digitrac super chief radio controller. Finished my main line and all was running well until I tried to install a couple of switches.

How frustrating can this be????

I am using PECO 83 track and peco switches. I have tried both live and insulated switches.

Essentailly, what I want to do is this: Picture a dog bone shape track (it's doesn't look that way, excpet on a line drawing). I want to install two sets of cross overs along the legs of the dog bose so I can reverse the drirection of the train.

Can you guys point me to a good web page that might explain how to wire this?

Thanks so much in advance!

Michael

Hi Michael and welcome.

It sounds like you created a reverse loop. To wire it properly you will need that section insulated and powered via AutoReverse module , ie digitrax AR1. Look it up the manual for it on their website, there is detailed wiring diagram there, will explain it much better then I can.

Regards!

Yup definately a reverse loop Michael.
There's all kinds of info to be found by googling that phrase!
