Looking for Athearn Standard Turbine

Hi all,

I'm a big Turbine guy, but would prefer to avoid picking up another MTH if possible.

Anyone looking to sell an Athearn Standard, or possibly know of a shop that still has one around?

I'd prefer one with a Tender, but I'd take what I can get.

I've got a brand new Athearn RTR, never out of the box. #61, does not have a tender. $140 shipped. I'll snap a picture of it if you're interested.

61 is a veranda not a standard.

I am also looking for a standard but I am cheap. picked up 61 for $80 when they were selling a few months ago.

When he said "Athearn Standard", I took that to mean the Athearn RTR, not the Genesis.

Thanks for the responses. When I say "Standard", I mean "Standard Turbine". Sorry for the confusion.

I've got 6 of the Athearn Verandas, so I'm looking for one or two of the Standards. I've also got 2 MTH Verandas, but would like to try and avoid the cost of another MTH or two right now.



Apelan Hobbies and Power Hobby periodically discount the Verandas very heavily, so I was able to get them for almost nothing last month. $89 for the #61's, and $119 for the Turbine+Tender models, all including shipping.

Sorry for the confusion. I had an MTH Veranda turbine with the tender, DCC and Smoke version. After the thrill was over I sold it. Last week I hit a local hobby shop in Florida and ran across the Athearn turbine and picked it up. I will avoid the high cost of the MTH's from now on too.
