Hello, I'm looking for a Heljan motorized container crane. They have been out of production for about 3 yrs. now. Does anyone or knows of anyone who has one for sale. Thanks, Joe

You might want to do a search on eBay, and save it, they will send you a message if and one is listed. Or perhaps just do a Google search to see what might come up. Maybe you'll need to check European sources too.

After seeing some of those travelling cranes in catalogs......I thought it would be cool to build one using four small motorized trucks to mount the base-legs onto and have them run on N scale track.....with two or three parallel tracks running underneath to be serviced by it. "Lookout!....here comes the crane!"

I know this is an older thread, but if you're still looking for one, one just popped up on the Yahoo group HOINterchange: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HOInte.../message/52328 (you may have to be a member to see the post, so I'm including the message contents below).

Agreed ... If I recall they came out in the $750 range. But, they are few and far between now.
