Liquid Mask

I want to airbrush my O scale GP9 for a custom paint job. I would like to use liquid mask for the windows, so I don't get paint on them. What kind of liquid mask do you guys use? How does it come off once it is applied? I have only heard of this product in books, and I've never seen it in action, so any advice would be awesome!

I have been using Magic Masker, but I don't know if it is still available. I believe that there are other latex maskers on the market. What you have to be very careful about is when you are going to remove it after painting. Have a new hobby knife blade and carefully run to along the seams, such as windows when you're removing it. I have had great sucess using this kind of product.

When I was painting a lot of R/C helicopter bodies, I used Sherwin Williams. It came in a gallon can just like paint. It worked very well. I do doubt you want to spend around $80.00 for a gallon of it.

If you have a hobby shop close by, go to the R/C car section and they should have it there too.

You have to remember that if you are using any type of liquid mask and acrylic paint you may be asking for trouble as most liquid masks are water based and the acrylic paint may eat/remove the liquid mask - ask me how I know

That mask will hold up to any paint but is a mess to deal with the best thing to do is take out the windows
