No need to get the old version. MTH is coming out with new Challengers later this year. Not sure when, maybe June/July.

I'll be getting one of these also!

I don't believe 3985 will be among those released... whenever that actually happens. I'm after that particular cab number as it has PFA announcements specific to the Cheyenne/Laramie excursions... near and dear to my heart. I actually had one of these in my hands in December, 2011. Bought it off the bay. Turned out to be a sick loco. Would not respond to DCS or DCC. Fortunately, the seller took it back.

hey all you guys gotta stand in line , the challenger will come out AFTER dec 21 2012, MTH IS SEEING IF THE END OF THE WORLD WILL GET THEM OUTTA MEETING THEIR DEADLINE

looks like you may have to settle for a riverrossi one to holddown the flagship position, till ahhhh MTH really comes across & meets a deadline
