Can someone tell me where I can get applicator bottles like the one on the right with the Faller glue?
I'm finding I like that pin-point accuracy over the brush like in the 2 bottles on the left.

Anyone speak German?
My Kibri kit has this part I think is separate from the others and is like a rubber bushing.
It is referred to as a "Lagerbuchse".
Can someone tell me what that means please.

First post from the new computer.

It's and me have sorta been screwed up all day. I think two days of "Happy Juice" need to workout of my system.\, but really feel pretty good(if that makes any since?)

B]Louis[/B] I have to reread your post afain in the morning - I do know a little about what you felt .. I;m sorry you had to go thru that and put up with "whinnieboy", but he could have really been hurting as well .... Anyway glad that you are doing so well nowdays.

/GARRY of course I will add your friend to my prayer list .. I owe a lot of prayers for all of you! Maybe I should say "TOO YOU ALL?"

Gotta get some sleep - have been up from 2am with not a nap of any kind. Almost feel like I used to when on an all nighter accross the pond. Just running on kinetic energy! See you all tomorrow.

Sherrel he was in a lot of pain and I was just down right mean. I was wrong to be so mean. Since God gave me a second chance I have tried to be more compassionate for others.

I'm glad to hear you are feeling well, those drugs they use to put you under cause a nasty hangover. Get some rest and stay hydrated.

Google images show mostly what is called a Plain Bush i.e. a sleeve type without rollers or ball bearings, although a couple of those do appear among the others.

Good Morning All. 72° and clear this morning in beautiful North Central Texas. Forecast is for 98° today, but tomorrow it's only supposed to be 80°. Quite the swing. Predictions of thundershowers tonight and all morning tomorrow. Maybe I can hold off topping up the pool with water!
Thank you all for the kind thoughts regarding the kidney stone. While it was short-lived, six hours, it did indeed hurt like hell. I've been told that it is even worse than labor pains which I couldn't experience.
Yesterday was a full day for me, the weekly grocery/beer trek, mowing part of the yard, cleaning some algae off the pool sides, and pruning and removing some tree branches that have grown downward and make mowing hazardous. Kindling for next winter!
What time that I had in the train shed was spent continuing my quarterly layout cleanup that I started early last week. The section that I am doing right now has no ground cover yet, so it is easier to do. Completed the visual inspection of the track and ROW for loose and AWOL parts last week and vacuumed it this week. Dusting the existing structures and any minor repairs is next. Now that it is vacuumed, I plan to add some ground cover while it is clean! Additionally, I pulled an Accurail covered hopper kit out of the stock shelf and renumbered it prior to assembly. Accurail sells renumbering sheets of 12 sets of decals for $4. Enough numbers for both the ends and sides of all of their freight car kits. Decals match the paint exactly. They issued four numbers for this particular kit when they released it, so the decal sheet allows me to have 16 cars all together...a small portion of the 1000 cars ATSF ordered on this particular order with Pullman Standard. I could have endless more combinations had I bought more cars and "cut and pasted" an additional decal sheet.

Bob -
Now to decide the pros and cons of Arizona, Arkansas and Texas.
At least they ain't all broke and politically dysfunctional like Illinois. My call would be either Arkansas or Texas...Arizona is too close to California.
Toot - Didn't have a chance to look at it at first, but that video of George Hawkins layout was first class. It looks like many of his cows and sheep, like Chet's, don't need any damn fences to keep them in! Superb scenery.
Louis - I'll save the narcotics for when I can enjoy them. I know what you mean about "whinny-boy". I prefer to suffer in silence myself.
Garry - Sorry to hear about your friend Dan, my prayers are with him.
Joe - I know that you had trouble with whomever regarding your MIL, perhaps it's just the area there. I had no trouble with four different aging relatives here, but all of them were over 15 years ago, well before Obamacare (which barely exists in Texas anyway).
Sherrel - Ice in your beer! Horrendous! But you're not necessarily in bad company, former Dallas Cowboy coach and current TV analyst Jimmy Johnson always drank his Heineken's that way.
Ken in Md - Drinking that much water is no guarantee, but is a good lifestyle choice in itself. Flushes lots of toxins out.
Eric - Lagerbuchse = bearing bushing. https://translate.google.com/

Good morning. Clear and 36 degrees to start the day off with a high expected in the low 70's. Had the window open and when I woke up, it felt like I was sleeping in a meat locker. Like it like that.

Eric - Sounds like you got your answer. I won't have to bother my dogs to translate.

Joe - Great photo of the GG-1. I am a big fan of electrics but unfortunately never got to see one in action in person. A timeless locomotive. Thanks for posting.

Willie - Happy for you that the kidney stone episode has passed. Why would the cows want to leave the pasture when there's plenty to eat ? I do have a fence to put in but it is one of the detail items slated to be done when the scenery is updated.

Sherrel - A few more beers should flush the rest of the happ juice out of your body. Hope you get back to normal. New computer? Either it can't spell or the happy juice is still beating you up.

Good morning all. Time for another cup of coffee and a cheese Danish, please. 76 and sunny here in SW MO. Should hit 82 with chance of thunderstorms. We could use a little rain about now. Nice weekend coming up, they say. Looks like another Sunday for grilling outside!! Love it!!

Prayers for Dan.
Also, Willie - glad you came through that kidney stone "adventure" okay.

Got to cut the grass this weekend (or, as the French say, "mow de lawn") Will start the final benchwork build this weekend. In the meantime, still making progress on the passenger station build plus landscaping the existing layout. Got to work on the lake and river - a little apprehensive about it, since I've never worked with the Realistic Water before, and I want to put some effects into it before it dries. Chet, you gave me some ideas about using a brush to slap the water lightly. Any other ideas out there about how to get good results and puts some effects in?

Have a good day everyone.

Good morning ....

So far, heavy rains and storms are west of us and north of us. Weather guessers say the storms will move in here in 2 or 3 hours as the line of storms shifts in towards our direction.

Thanks much to those who expressed support for my friend, Dan, who is having the difficult surgery today. His wife texted me very early this morning he was going into the operating room. Probably, I will not hear anything for several hours. In her text she was thankful for support. I had previously texted to her my model railroad friends in the US and other countries were praying for Dan.

Again, I am reminded model railroad people are the best people in the world.

Good Morning Everyone! It's a great day to be alive! I hope and pray that it isfor all of YOU as well.

It is supposed to be lower 90's for a high today with a bright, clear sky.

Woke up hurting a little (actually a lot) because I did not take anything yesterday after early morning. I do think that I will wait another day before removing the bandage from my throat and the one from where the drain had been. Doctors had advised to wait at least 24 hours ... I don't think an additional 24 hours will make any difference except that the bandages were put on pretty tight (that may be the source of the pain I have had both mornings?) ... LOL, My left arm, where they went in to place the "plug" for the artery that was bypassed, looks as if I came out second in a fight with a bear.

Willie .. short prayer for you on the kidney stone yesterday and today. They are something that I only wish on Democrats - sorry - just couldn't resist - LOL

GARRY .. Extensive prayer for your friend Dan as well. Sometimes, ALL the PAIN and SUFFERING in the world really makes me question ... WHY? .. wHAT IS THE PURPOSE. We are not privy to the "master plan" - We are told that someday we will understand!

ERIC I don't ever forget you either. You still have a long way to go!

Everywhere West, Burl Bob .. even threw your name into the fray! Pray that your decision is a good one.

PRAYERS for all Model Railroaders!
There -- everyone's covered! Thanks for your ear.
I still gotta go back and read Louis' reply and watch Toot's videos.
Later on, guys.

Willie: Several points I need to clarify. 1. Obamacare does not factor here. She has a Medicare Advantage plan through a Major Insurance carrier. It's an employer sponsored plan, which is part of her late husband's retirement benefit. Anything beyond Hospital care, which is ostensibly provided by a "non-profit, is provided by a for profit facility, with all the selling of "extras" and scrimping of services to manage facility costs. From a business standpoint, there is nothing wrong with this, but from a "compassionate care" standpoint, it lacks much. Essentially, her plan limits her Medicare benefit, and places more of the costs on her. Pretty much, her income is limited to her SS benefit, a small Widow's pension, anda little interest. Most of this plus her savings goes to her assisted living facility, leaving little for cost sharing. Much of this is due to her decision to stick with an inferior plan, because she didn't know better. But information needed to make a good decision, is not readily available. The past 18 months have been a real education for me and my wife. I know one thing, as soon as we can, we will be moving her to straight Medicare.

Yeah, I know Sherrel. I was at the ENT specialist surgeon Monday and she said I'm looking at a full 8 hours of surgery to put things right. She's also concerned that the oncologist Dr.s report didn't state out right that I am cancer free. She doesn't want to operate until she's convinced I'm clear.

Prayers for all us for sure!!!!
I'm not letting it slow me down on the train efforts though.

Joe - Didn't mean to insinuate that Obamacare was the cause of the problems; sorry for my wording. One of the four that I had experience with was in long term care and was only 59. He had a private plan that was really good, but that plan was eliminated under ACA. All of the other three were straight Medicare, with supplemental coverage. I also hear you regarding Medicare Advantage plans. I heard only negatives about them even before I started doing my own research into them. That's the reason that I chose straight Medicare with a supplemental plan.

Afternoon All,

Sad day for my daughters family. A close friend of theirs since HS passed away last night from cardiac arrest after going to the ER for difficulty breathing. He was only in his early 40's and physically fit. He was also my Son-In-Laws employer. I hope Garry's friend came through the surgery OK today.

Today I did the measuring for my first scratch build project and did some testing with a pounce wheel to see which combination of A&I and paint looks the best. I came up with A&I, Paint, Pounce wheel, A&I over the holes. When my son gets home I'm supposed to help him wire up a light in one of his costume devices (Colonial Marine from Aliens)

Louis- Amazing story. You are one tough hombre.

Willie- I have never had them but have treated many that have them and I know they are extremely painful for those that have them.

I hope everyone has a good night.

Howdy ... Thanks for the concern about my friend, Dan. I learned he is done with surgery, and the recovery can begin. That is all I know now.
