Resounding a Digitrax decoder

This maybe the wrong place for this but I figured I'd try. I just got a Digitrax decoder preloaded with steam and diesel sounds. Defult is set to steam. I have a Bachmann EZ Command as I'm just getting into DCC. (Some of the forums I;ve read makes it seem like I amde a really bad choice) I was wondering if someone would be willing to help me and set it to the disel sounds, or someone who would be willing to point me in the right direction. Thank you.

Reading, I had this problem as well. You need to set CV60 to a value of 1. Setting CV60 to 0 makes it sound like steam, a 1 makes it diesel.

search Digitrax website, or one of the Yahoo Digitrax groups and that should point you in the right direction.

IIRC the problem with the Bachmann system is that it doesn't do CVs?

A hobby shop or local modeller with DCC could probably set it up for you if this is the case.
