Z Scale

Does anyone ever build a serious layout in Z Scale?

(Here is my O Scale GP35 dwarfing an HO GP35.)

I have only seen loops. Most of them were done by folks who had a regular N or HO scale layout. One S scale club that used to display at train shows, had one as part of an amusement park on their layout. It appears to be a real niche item.

Seems they do. Googling Z scale layouts brings up quite a few (mixed in with HO) but most are small. Then of course there's "T" scale at 1:140 and 3mm gauge track. This one says it's "Z". There was another of the Cajone pass.

I've seen some very nice Z scale layouts in a space of 4X8. A bit tiny for my old eyes and fingers.

This comparative picture just came up on a facebook page. The top loco (the largest) being N scale.
