Here's why I left HO for O Scale 2 Rail:

I wonder sometimes if I'll (have to) do the same. That's what the wisdom says...that most of us will eventually have to move up to a larger scale in time if we still want to play with trains.

So far, though, I seem to be able to cope. I just make sure the ambient light is good and bright, and doesn't leave too much in shadow. I can still reach deep into a layout and re-rail some items in HO.

Not only is O Scale easier on the eye, but because the engines have 5.8 times the internal volume of HO, the sound system is superior because of the larger speaker and the more powerful audio amplifier.
