Was cleaning out the cupboards the other night and found a half full bin of corn meal. The expiration date was a little past due so i was going to chuck it, but then my wife said, "Can you use it on your trains?"

I don't know. Have any of you used corn meal for scenery work?

Since Corn Meal is a food, unless I was wanting to attract critters (bugs/rodents/etc...) to my layout, I would not use it.

I would use it for cooking, the expiration date is a suggestion, the corn meal is still good to use if it doesn't smell and there is no obvious mold on it.
