Visual Improvement of 'all-live' switches (TOs) and the end ties on sectional track

Hi. All all-live switches have those plastic insulators in them surrounding the frog.. Take some chrome enamel paint and paint them.. Even Bright-Boys won't scratch it away. If something does, just re-do it..Do same for any plastic insulators. Also, good time to weather the guard rails..
Get rid of that unsightly extra connective plastic between the first 2 ties in on panel/snap track ends: They do this because it allows rail joiners to be already on or slid on (I believe this feature is aimed at newbies who either may not care to, or know how to slice off ties for joiners). So, flip the sectional stuff over and slice off the first tie in and its parallel plastic which connect it to the 2nd tie in, at both ends. Then of course install track in layout and introduce separate ties where they're now missing. This takes away the toyish look the parallel plastic tie connectors give sectional track..
Interesting plus about Atlas panel track: The spike heads are way better looking and spaced than on the flex track !. I figure flex requires heavier spike heads to tolerate the the forces the rails cause against them when bending the flex.. !!
