Three Way?

I have salvaged a module that was built with Walthers Cornerstone 3 track engine shop and back shop. Three track approach. The track centers are 3 inches. So now the question is a logical access the shop. I thought of using a #6 threeway switch but can anyone estimate how much space that would take to accomplish? How do I figure that out. I have seen suggestions about distance required for a #6 turnout. Is that the same?

Space from where to where? From the point end of an Atlas #6 turnout to a separation of 3" where the curve back is the same radius equivalent of the #6 turnout is 25 3/4". A three way will be slightly longer.
