Something for everyone - Bachmann at the '08 NTS

Model Railroad Hobbyist interviewed the VP of Marketing of Bachmann Trains at this year's National Train Show in Anaheim. From Large Scale to N scale, Bachmann doesn't miss many product niches - for those who notice the strong resemblance between the IR Dynamix DCC system and ESU's wireless(radio) "Portable ECoS" system also displayed at the show, it's because ESU created the cases for both of them. I was assured at the ESU booth that the guts of the systems were totally different.

I'm glad to see Bachmann developing new and better products. It's keeping the heat on Walthers, Athearn, and Atlas. That Dynamis DCC system looks really interesting although priced a little too high for the market. Knowing Bachmann, I'm sure the street price will come down to match Digitraxx and some of the other starter sets.
