ScaleTrains announces tunnel motors


They are actually pretty close (so far) to their production schedule. I ordered Tier4s from both runs, and the first run was due in fall of 2017, and we had them in October. Second run was slated for summer 2018, and I had them 3rd week of July.
 
Not my experience with them. Pre-ordered four SD40-2's in the fall of 2016 for summer 2017 delivery, and received them in January 2018. Since you don't have to come up with any up-front money, it wasn't a big deal except anticipation. Worth the wait though, they look and operate flawlessly. Detailing is on par with the original P2K's and they operate like a Kato or Genesis.
After inquiring in the fall of 2017, I was told that the ATSF's were actually in their "second run", meaning that they were made too late for the first boat! Never was a mention ever made of two runs. I really do wish that they had come into existence before I obtained too many freight cars for my layout though.
