Rust?

I recently discovered my trusty bottle of Rust (I think it was Floquil) just gave up the ghost. It was a nice orange/brown that was thin and spread well for it's purpose.

Besides going to powders, what paints are people using for rust these days?

Tamiya "Red Brown". If you find it too red or dark, it is water based and you could add a minor bit of yellow or tan.

I used Red Brown on the rails here for this outdoors diorama:

I think Model Master has what they call a Rust color and I believe Modelflex has a rust color as well. You could use a light or dark Tuscan red depending on how badly rusted you wanted the rusted thing to be.

One thing I tried was using real rust by sitting one of those steel wool pads in water and letting it rust over time. It didn't work that well for doing long sections of track but might for short spurs or other things.
