I believe I did see parking meters for sale once, might have been among stuff on Walthers site. If that was so, don't expect to be able to find them just by description or title.

Good morning. Heat wave ! 29 degrees and we could get above freezing this afternoon.
It is Pearl Harbor day.
My dad was in the Navy stationed at Pearl Harbor in December of 1941, but his ship was out on escort duty with the aircraft carriers when the attack took place. He did take some photos when they returned on Dec 8th and the place was still ablaze. He was an avation machinist mate who worked on the catapult planes on a cruiser, the USS Chester.
When they got into port, he and his division we assigned to go to the USS Nevada, which was the only battleship that managed to get underway, but suffered bomb damage and beached itself so the channel into the harbor wasn't blocked. The took all equipment they could use for the aircraft, refueled and were back out to sea that night. He told many stories about his service during the war. Their ship was bombed and torpedoed during the battle of the pacific. It really meant a lot to me to visit the Arizona Memorial.
Willie - Nice photos. The town is starting to come to life. Can't wait to see what you do with it.
David in CA - Happy to see you finally got a decent nights sleep. Nice to get some relief.
Eric - Missed your call last night. I turn the ringer off at night. We usually turn in early because our little doxie thinks that 4 AM is a good time to get us up to feed her. That ex friend of yours really wasn't much of a friend.
Johnny - I also have parking on either side of my streets in towns. It does eat up some real estate, but is a bit more accurate.
Toot - I have also seen parking meters in HO scale that Terry can't find. I believe that it is an a Woodland Scenics production with benches, a phone booth and fire hydrants and some other items. I have seen it numerous times on Amazon. No parking meters in my towns thank you very much.

Good Afternoon Everyone.....
On Pearl Harbor Day, thanks to all our veterans from WWII and to all the current and past service members. Chet and Terry...my thanks as well for posting the photos of Pearl Harbor.
Down to the train room this afternoon. Yesterday, I did finish cutting out and mounting a photographic backdrop. I also painted flat black a layout leg and where some of the framework is visible if the black skirting isn't perfectly in place. Funny how when something is painted black, it disappears to the eye.
Going to cut out some unneeded track track work and install new.
Garry: Nice city scene.

Afternoon All,
Pearl Harbor is in my DNA now. I served there for 14 years with constant reminders of the attack, from the memorial, the buildings still with bullet holes in them, the old battleship moorings and a myriad of other things.
Today I put on the turnbuckles and wire bands. It took about an hour to do the first one. Needles to say it didn't go together how I envisioned but once I figured it out I did the other 4 in about 25 minutes. I also glued the roof supports on after I finished the banding.
Most likely I will be helping Son-in-Law install vinyl flooring in their house Saturday and Sunday. The high temps are supposed to be in the 60's for the next 4 days. Saturday is also youngest grandsons karate advancement in the morning.
Willie- Great layout pictures.
Johnny- Do you need to be retrained on how to act as a Model Railroader? LOL.
Garry- We can always count on you having top notch modeling.

Good afternoon. We had an unanticipated stroke of good fortune today. The wife went to the vampire's for bloodwork, then I accompanied her on an impromptu shopping adventure, to the Toys R Us, and the local mall. Three hours later, we were finished our Christmas shopping, for children and grand children. 
Chet: thanks for sharing your father's experiences on the USS Chester. That Cruiser had quite a combat record in the Pacific. The John Wayne movie "In Harms Way", co-starring Robert Mitchum and Patricia Neal, was loosely based on the story you related.

Joe: Let me echo much of what you said - some items I will switch around!
1. I have done zero shopping - may pull what my wife tells everyone. "Sherrel rushes down to CVS Christmas eve and fights with other husbands trying to buy the last demo bottle of perfume in the store."
2. I loved that movie- "In Harms Way" and too wish to acknowledge all the present and past military personnel. Chet, Curt, and others who served - A UGGGEEE thank you!
3. Don't get me started - No comment on the Milleniums. I got called down for yelling instructions to the g-kid at the soccer game ... said I was coaching from the side. Kill the ref. woulld have been asked to leave the field!
4. Curt - That tank is going to be a masterpiece. Really looking good.
5. JOE, I still have not taken down those 17 boxes. Going to start soon as I complete this post.
On the other hand, It was on this day in 1990 that I proposed to my last - and I do mean last - wife. Wouldn't trade her for the world ... but will always remember Pearl Harbor Day.
I have been wrapped up on a repair project on the almost 4 x 8 foot kitchen granite island where the edge has a 3 foot long crack along the edge of the sink.
Fires are really doing damage out here. We have one on each side of here just started a few hours ago. A DC-10 is retardant dumping on the one to the north of us at an altitude of 500 AGL; watching it on TV live - doing 45 degree bank turns at 500 feet in gusty winds in mountain terrain is not for the faint of heart.
