Well, gent's I am one step closer to fruition of a layout... I finally have a train table built after 12 years ! :)

I have my layout topped with Homasote. Great stuff, holds track nails securely. If you cut it, use a SHARP razor knife and make multiple passes. A saw is faster, but it makes lots of fine dust that you do NOT want to get into your lungs!
 
Gents, I found out today at 1700 hours that my brother , he's a former model railroader and wants to up route me here in GF, NY for a move towards where Colgate University is ... so, at the moment all work has stopped on the layout ! And he's the one who ask me to move this way ...to GLENS FALLS, NY Damn Him !! Lol .
