O Scale is 1.81458 times the linear dimension of HO Scale. (87.1/ 48)

This is in just one dimension, say Length.

In Area, O scale is 1.81458 x 1.81458 times the area of HO, or 3.2927 times as big.

In Volume and Weight, O scale is 1.81458 x 1.81458 x 1.81458 or 5.9748686 times the volume and weight of HO Scale.

Thus, a locomotive or piece of rolling stock in O-Scale 2-Rail will weigh about 6 times as much as in HO, if it were modeled exactly.

Never really looked at it in ALL those terms.
As Arti Johnston would say: Verily Interesting!
Thanks for the numbers.

Laughin was one of my favorites! The park bench with the old woman was great.
HA, HA -- spelling was not!
