I recently purchased 2 PRR Mehano/IHC GG1 engines from a gent in my Facebook group. Both engines have shell damage to the front of one end. His plan was to cut both in half and join the two good ends together. Alas, he has since decided to go all in on HO Steam and chose to sell them to me. I may end up doing what he planned, but I’d like to try and get both engines running and just try and switch to Amtrak shells or perhaps Spirit of 76. both engines have “made in Slovenia” stamped on one truck. So here are my questions:
1. Any way to determine which brand of engines I have? Are they simply Mehano or IHC/ Mehano? Or Rivarossi?
2. Anyone know where I can a parts diagram or parts list for this engine?
3. Other than eBay, is there a particular source/hobby shop that I could go to or call for parts?
