N Gauge Sound Transmission

I manager to find the PM's between me and the member, but discovered I'd emailed the info on the guy in W.A. that makes the hopper castings and the email has been long deleted (Back in 2017), but I did get the email for the club's president, who may still be able to help. I'll PM that to you.

As I mentioned above I sent Phoenix Sound questions about and audio out and frequency response. Here is their reply:

Hello,

The PB17 has a line level audio output for external amplifier connection and is a DCC sound decoder as well. We have a 'stand alone' sound system guide on our website that addresses this type of set up. The guide was written for our earlier 2K2 system, the PB17 is the latest version of this style system, but the principles are the same.

As for frequency response, we do not roll of or filter any of the low end, when the PB17 is connected to an external amplifier it can rumble the room quite will. It's is safe to assume a response of at least 20 Hz - 5.5K Hz.
