My N scale scratch built frieght depot

Just finished the basic work on my n scale scratch built freight depot. I've still got some detail work to do like aging and putting a sign on it with the name of the freight company (thinking of going with something related to my son's name) but for the most part it's done.

I'll put lighting in it last but that's coming. Might need a few more packages on the deck ready to load into box cars.

The unifnished photo shows it in progress.

I was going to do 3D styrene brick but opted not to. I ended up printing brick with a laser printer and gluing i ton. From more than a foot away it looks pretty realistic.

This is one of the boxes sitting on the freight platform. I made it in honor of the holidays. (Again, laser printed with 3 point font let me make the FRAGILE wording)

It's about a half inch.

Nicely done. Simple but effective. Don't know if I would have it sitting at a turnout. A spotted freight car could block other movements. Well done. Thumb up.gif

Meh...it's next to a street crossing too. So any train stopping at the freight depot is blocking traffic.

But it's a 4'x2' foot long layout so things go where they fit.
