Model Railroaders Dream, Plan, Build DVD Series

Fugate's series is a, um, more focused in that you know you're getting something on scenery or tracklaying or whatever. Nice production values, in many cases better than K'bach for my money. They also key into his Web forums and his free Model Railroad Hobbyist online quarterly magazine.

While I like Joe's writing, his appearances on the Model Railcast show have been a bit ... um ... dry. But if the content is good as far as teaching the technical skills in modeling, that is mostly what I am interested in.

I am wavering on the DPB series though, even at $24 a pop, because I have thought about buying past Tracks Ahead DVD's. I like that content along with the modeling. But that 4x8 Build your first model railroad bonus video did not help. While I found some of it interesting, I did not think the finish product looked good at all. Looked sort of half assed.
