MDC caboose kit revisited

I lost the cupola to this MDC-Roundhouse caboose (#1175) I built many years ago. I found a different cupola at a flea market sale and rebuilt some of rest of the model. The hole in the roof for the cupola needed opening up a little more. The model was repainted and decaled as a result of all the screwing around with the thing.

It never was a very accurate MDC model of any SP as the spacing between the trio of windows has the wrong spacing. This caboose is about 6 to8 feet too short in length. It's like someone completely blew a dimension and had no supervision that day. But I couldn't just toss it away. So I finished it for whatever it's worth - so to speak...

The.... sorta nice thing about railroads is that they pretty much did what they wanted to when it came to modifications. I doubt there was much engineering involved on the local level. I come from an aviation background and you can't legally modify so much as a placard without an engineer sticking his nose in.

Anyhow, the caboose looks nice!
