I have an old fashioned dial one that I have had for over 25 years. I am somewhat surprised at how many times I actually use mine. Easily 8-10 times a month.

Been around these things my entire adult life. I still have my original Helios Dial Calipers. I find I rarely need to measure in metric anymore, so my standard dial Cal. works well for me. At my last job I did have a Mitutoyo digital calipers and it was a wonderful instrument. Need to measure in metric, push a button and your in metric. Back to standard? Push the button again and your in standard. Need to re-zero, push a button and your at zero again. I use pry bars to pry with, use the right tool for the job! Willie, I have had my Dial calipers for 50 years.
