ICG/IC Cabeese

I don't know why, but it seems I am on a caboose kick lately. 4 more in the works now. First one will be an IC gray death star scheme, second is one I painted up around 30 years ago. It is getting updates to whisker couplers, metal wheels, block off the 4 windows, then a heavy weather job.

Three and four are Athearn BB kits. They will get wheels, couplers, windows covered, then weathered. One gets renumbered.

Progress shots of the 4 IC/ICG. Got decals on the IC caboose, re-numbered 1 ICG, blocked off all of the windows, now they are headed to the weathering shop. Oh yeah, metal wheels all around, Kadee #158's added and weights.

Added an Athearn RTR UP caboose today. Still not quite the correct one, but pretty close. I don't know if I'll be able to take this one apart, it seems glued together. The trucks are very different also.

Nice stuff ! Hard to see, but the bottom pic looks to have leaf springs which were the most common trucks on cabooses thru about, say, 1980s..
Gave a softer ride for the conductor and other officials...
Second photo down cab on left looks like its coppola is not snapped in fully. Same with gray cab. M
