Well, they're for sure broke.
It's way too pricey to boot.
But, we can keep looking.......

Kadee does indeed make couplers that have the NEM socket on them. Very doable. A couple manufacturers make the class 08

Most new models are fitted with NEM pockets, so to answer your question, yes, something like a Kadee #362 will fit, even if it doesn't have the pocket, plenty of conversion kits around on eBay so that you can do it yourself.

Something like that. I used Kadee#20 but you also can use #18 or #19.

I also mounted Kadee#20 on a Mehano diesel ("The Blue Tiger" ) without removing the bumpers. It works very well.

Not sure what I'm doing.
My current layout has a yard for switching and staging, but I like the concept of shelve layouts.
Thunder Mesa Studios has given me some ideas too.
