what would ACME stand for anyway !!!!!!! You know what'd be really funny . Imagine if someone made life size rail joiners. I recall a British TV series by James May of Top Gear fame who built a life size Spitfire kit ..That was incredible .. While on James May , he's a big fan of model rail also , watch this

Enjoyed the video. I have always been a big fan for the crew from Top Gear and have heard that James is a rail fan.

G'day all , Hornby is one of the biggies , read this and you'll see how many other well known companies Hornby are mixed up with . Being predominantly 1:76 OO many outside of Great Britain wouldn't know a real lot about them perhaps but Rivarossi has been part of their HO stuff though . Found this on Wikipedia re some history on them.

Biggest competition is Bachmann of course. A really good friend of mine owns an older (1980's) OO Gauge Flying Scotsman set among other stuff and he loves his Hornby stuff .. Actually certain Hornby sets in pristine condition go for big money. .Cheers Rod.
